How do you assess one’s mental health condition? Peer support is crucial as you could be the first responder in providing psychological first aid. In this session, learn how to detect early signs of common mental health disorders and where to seek help.
In this experiential session, you will:
- Be able to identify the symptoms of depression, anxiety and
suicidal intention
- Learn to provide basic peer support to someone in distress
- Learn how to observe and identify emotions related with facial
expression, body language, para-linguistic cues
- Practice Progressive Relaxation (from Stay Well to Stay Strong)
for selfcare and peer support
- Understand treatment methods
